I am currently reading "Scar Tissue" for the 5th time (the autobiography of Red Hot Chili Pepper's Lead Vocalist Anthony Kiedis). There is only a very small list of books I would seriously recommend to others...as weird, lame it sounds, this book happens to be one of them. It might sound to you as fandom gibberish or a simply stupid curiosity for certain celebrities - as this book hasn't dramatically changed the world, politics or lead to something important in life's history, BUT it did "change" me in so many positive ways.
Imho Scar Tissue is a never ending stream of inspiration, it is backing me at so many different ways in hard times and the book itself is a great tribute to love, art, music, fear, madness & life itself. It doesnt matter if you are a fan of Anthony or RHCP at all, as I havent been interested in him or the band itself that much before either, but as I am quite music affine i bought the book years ago in England.
The book is about his life, drug habits, music, art, madness and is told in a way that seems to be brutally pure honest & human.
therefore, amazing jam of John Frusciante & Flea that sounds like the rad hallucinating drug music Pink Floyd played Live at Pompeii.
