[Contest #2] New Banner Contest

I believe darlenix was looking for a more "sketchy" look to the hand and have a half drawn sprite under the pencil. I dunno, that's how i feel it should be.

I like Kim Bo's simple but professional and sleek looking design, and I like darlenix's idea of including a more casual theme that more closely reflects the kind of forum 13thzone is.

So, my suggestions for kim bo:
- change the font for "a spriter's community" to something that looks like handwriting, like what darlenix did
- change the hand and tabletpen to something the looks more casual, I have no specific ideas, just a feeling.
- have a half drawn sprite or spritescene under the new pencil

I'v try'ed this. But this inscription is to small, and font becomes not readable.

just putted a placeholder as banner for now...until someone comes up with a great one (not a bad one like this )

hm could you make that box where the banner is the same blue as the top of every other box? and the text "Hey, X, you have x messages, x are new.
Sept 13, 2007, 1:10pm " in there should be turned into that grey you have for the "Quick Reply"

cause a boxy graphic would look horrible this way - unless its faded into the grey

I don't like the "13th Zone in white with baby blue" like BG, I will like more a single color BG...

I'll like to see Kim_Bo one but with some sprites (I'm thinking in something like I made, but put all the chars stading together, like a gang )

Edit: I was thinking in something like this for a logo (Althought, I'll like something like symbols, that represents something, but I don't know why this boards are called 13th Zone ):
