so. this went a bit out of hand here...
while I want you to feel as welcome as everybody else ds, I also want you to see why people are saying that you are tracing.
this was made in some fast modifications - could have been more accurate:
The major arguments I had for the tracing accusation WERE:
- when you clearly used / or couldnt use the reference, one sees the different quality (face on bison for e.g)
- the no parts reseized picture you used shows blanka underneath (take a look at the shoulder shading, there is not a single reason for that colour to be there if you would sprite it - there are so many colours)
- there is absolutely no reason to add the dark/grey/black lines in the sprite itself (especially in the orange hair on his legs)
- the hands are WAY TOO accurate
While everyone uses references (the best artist do), it will hinder you from improving. It is really not that big of a deal, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with taking a picture, reseizing it and overdrawing it. But try to add some of your style to it.
BUT please let's move on now - and let's just make some nice art from now on & people please stop demanding proof.
