Zee Sprites

I just tried to create a sprite ... it's pretty much a fail. 
But can you tell me what I can do better next time anyways? 
I really need every kind of help for this ^_^" 

It looks kinda weird. 
I hope you can see it ... lol 
- Please don't laugh at me, this is my first time trying it - ._.

no one is going to laugh at you for this, we were all at your place once.. this was my first sprite ever:

also, i wouldn't call it a fail it looks decent enough for a first try.. now, i see you used freeze as a base no? nice, one thing about the shading in lf2 sprites though, the light source always hits from the right side (our point of view)

btw, did you make this at a normal size?! or did you sprite big and then re sized to small?!
keep up the good work, and try more colorful schemes next time i expect to see more from you

I copied the first picture from "freeze0_png" and zoomed till 800% (paint.net) and started
Oh no >__< I made a mistake with the shadow and light haha, I'm gonna start a new one now.
This time I'll avoid these mistakes !
